2024 Ford Bronco Sport: A Small Crossover with Big Ambitions

2024 Ford Bronco Sport

An SUV offers a feature-laden interior and robust off-roading capabilities. However, you may not want or need its typical larger body size. Visit Kearny Mesa Ford to meet the 2024 Ford Bronco Sport, which fills the role of a full-sized SUV in a more compact form.

Trim and Powertrain Specifications

The 2024 Ford Bronco Sport has five trims:

  • Big Bend
  • Heritage
  • Free-Wheeling
  • Outer Banks
  • Badlands

It has a standard 181-horsepower, turbocharged, 1.5-liter three-cylinder engine with 190 lb-ft of torque, and an optional 245-horsepower, turbo 2.0-liter, four-cylinder engine with 277 lb-ft of torque. Both pair with an eight-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive (AWD).

Towing and Cargo Capacities

2024 Ford Bronco Sport Interior

The 2024 Ford Bronco Sport can tow up to 2,000 pounds with its standard powertrain. Its four-cylinder engine can tow up to 2,200 pounds. Cargo volume ranges from 29.4 to 65.2 cubic feet, depending on your interior configuration.

Off-Road Features

The Big Bend trim features a MOLLE strap system for tying down gear. The Badlands trim has an additional inch of ground clearance and underbody skid plates. Its differential lock and trail control help you maintain a constant speed while off-roading and prevent traction loss by keeping consistent rotation speeds for wheels on the same axle.

Interior

The 2024 Ford Bronco Sport seats five passengers across two rows. It has about 29.4 to 32.5 cubic feet of cargo room behind the second row and 60.6 to 65.2 cubic feet when it’s folded down. Unlike other new Ford models, it has a storage bin beneath the second-row seats.

Technology

Every 2024 Ford Bronco Sport has an 8.0-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™, with available SiriusXM® satellite radio compatibility. You can also use traditional buttons or voice commands to control media playback.

Free Wheeling Edition Details

The Free Wheeling edition is the most notable addition at our San Diego Ford dealership. It celebrates the model’s history via visual elements from vehicles produced during the 1970s. Externally, it has a Shadow Black roof and Ebony wheels with Race Red accents. Its interior features Sunset Weave cloth seats with Ombre stitching and Race Red trim.

It has the same functionality as the Heritage trim but lacks the LED fog lights and tow package. However, it possesses the Ford Co-Pilot360 Assist+ and Convenience packages from the Big Bend trim.
