These days, many people are feeling the need to upgrade their gas-powered vehicles to much more fuel-efficient models. And you can’t more fuel-efficient than an electric car. But practicality aside, an electric vehicle can still be very fun, as the 2023 Ford Mustang Mach-E proves.

Power and Performance

There are quite a few powertrain options with the Ford Mustang Mach-E. The base setup includes an electric motor and a 70-kWh battery that combine to put out 266 horsepower. There are four other choices, including:

  • Two electric motors and a 70-kWh battery: 266 horsepower
  • One motor and a 91-kWh battery: 290 horsepower
  • Two electric motors and a 91-kWh battery: 346 horsepower
  • Two electric motors and a 91-kWh battery: 480 horsepower

All models have an automatic transmission. Rear-wheel drive is standard, with all-wheel drive as an option. This new Ford model has nice handling and feels very composed when taking turns.

Fuel Economy and Driving Range

The Ford Mustang Mach-E has excellent fuel economy. With the 70-kWh battery and rear-wheel drive, it offers 110 MPGe (miles per gallon equivalent) in the city and 96 MPGe on the highway. Depending on which powertrain you go with, you will get a driving range between 224 and 312 miles.

When plugged into a 240-volt outlet, your vehicle can be charged in about 15 hours. DC Fast Charging can achieve up to 60 miles of range in just 10 minutes.

Up to five people can fit nicely in the Ford Mustang Mach-E, as both rows are spacious. Synthetic leather upholstery and a power-adjustable driver’s seat are standard, and heated front seats and a heated steering wheel are available.

This Ford SUV has a lot of cargo room: 29.7 cubic feet behind the rear seats and 59.7 cubic feet when they are down. There’s also a front trunk with 4.7 cubic feet. As for tech, every model comes with:
