I nearly bought a new vehicle at a different dealership, until I called Kearny Mesa Ford and talked with Michael Croom. He was able to quickly help me find the right car, match the other dealer's price, all with more professional service and no undesirable salesman tactics (unlike the other dealer). The process was smooth and pleasant, and Michael was very enjoyable to work with and did not present any pressure to buy, just tried to be helpful. Good service…Starting with having a Service Advisor assigned, everyone is very attentive, courteous, friendly and professional at what they do. It’s a nice environment, I bring my laptop to optimize the waiting time. My service Advisor (Erica) kept me informed of what they’ll be doing, how long it would take and made sure to answer all my questions.
Erica was fantastic, she took care of the requested maintenance items and informed me of additional items that needed attention. She kept me updated on the status and had everything ready for me when I came to pick it up. Great Experience!

Called yesterday morning for a warranty related issue on my F250. For reasons I do not understand, an appointment for an F250 required someone from Kearny Mesa Ford to call me back, supposedly in a few minutes. I waited over 6 hours and did not receive a call. We went to look at new Broncos, The sales consultant Michael Croom was very attentive. He did not pressure me into looking at something else, we described what we wanted he took us to the back lot we looked a few different Broncos. We found the color & package we wanted, went on a test drive. Went in negotiated a deal. Michael made this experience pleasurable. I would go to him again and recommend him to anyone.

While Dito, the sales consultant was extremely friendly and worked with us to find a car with the options I wanted. I disliked the financing experience. I told financing I wanted to use my bank for the finance, but he lied to me and said I would lose the $500 military rebate. He forced on us a bank with a higher APR even with my great credit. We custom ordered a 12 passenger transit. This dealership did their best to help us get it. The only downside is our headlight choice was left off our order and I caught it too late. I think this could have been avoided if it were done electronically. Also when we came to purchase I was told a total that was $1,000 less and they would not honor that price. Salesman Tach was attentive with 2 hours of showing us cars and test driving the one we purchased. 3 dealer “fluff” add-ons/markups. 2 of them were negotiated away. When told we would return the following day and pay cash, he and sales manager “Mike” seemed aggravated. They eventually surrendered to our wish and we did return the next day to buy the car. I rate this transaction as “par for the course”. In order for me to rate a car dealership as excellent or outstanding, they must offer the best value up front and “exceed my expectations”. Kearny Mesa Ford did neither.

Anthony did me right! Jessica is so sweet, makes the LONG paperwork signing go by fast, and everyone is honest and real, friendly and normal. I told them what I wanted, they took the info, asked a few questions to narrow down what I wanted generally, then did the work to get me the best used car I could afford with my "fair" credit score and I drove out of there in a car I never dreamed I would own.
They have been great so far. The car had a few issues but they seem to be resolving it.

If you're credit is bad, they don't care to help. They advertise a "fresh start" program to help you get into a vehicle. If you take advantage of this, they treat you differently then someone coming in as a normal finance. I was never shown a physical car. Because I had “A” plan their finance manager kept jacking up the price with add ons. More interested in boosting his dollar quota than making a sale. The guy was a total arrogant jerk so after 31 years of Ford products I left their deal on the table. Will never buy a car from this dealer again.

Buying a new vehicle in the post covid market is dicey, mark ups, shady business practices, etc... Working with Saul to purchase a hybrid Maverick was the easiest part of this adventure, though not knowing if the vehicle would be made, to my many questions I asked and alterations to the order. I'm very pleased how it all went and would recommend this dealer and Saul specifically to others.

Happy with my purchase of 2023 Bronco & with the team at pick up, Tach & Kelley, in particular. My one frustration was that I emailed several times that I didn't want the front license plate installed, and after a "we have plenty of time to deal with that later" response, they didn't contact me and installed it anyway.

We looked online for a specific used vehicle that included a warranty and was priced a little below average. We found several possibilities and made inquiries. Kearny Mesa Ford's internet salesperson was the first to answer back and immediately offered an appointment. The car was as advertised, and the price was fair. The test drive and financing were immediate, the car was detailed, and we left the lot with the new car in about four hours. Great experience.
The salesman often did not return my emails or phone call. I could not reach him through the dealership phone number after trying twice. I finally had to write a letter to the sales manager to get a response (but not from him). They overcharged me on the sales tax and would not correct it.
The reps were great as we worked through the order and the production and shipping delays. They made sure we knew what was happening and worked with us to ensure our satisfaction. They did a great job on vehicle prep when it got here.

They are HONEST, during the chip shortage they preordered my Maverick and delivered at MSRP as agreed upon. The hybrid maverick was one of many highly sought after vehicles during the Vehicle shortage. Kearny Mesa ford sold me my mini truck at exactly what they said when I preordered and also followed up every month prior to its arrival and several times after to make sure I was a satisfied customer. Easily the best dealership experience in 30+ years of buying mostly new (and sometimes used) cars. Entire process from placing the order to picking up the car and completing financing on the big day was smooth as silk. Time at the dealership was well spent: they covered all the important points, no pushy upselling, and got me out of there in good time.
